|Ever Wonder About The New Yankee Workshop Sign?|
Philip: Fortunately enough, I was able to find the company that made the sign. Some of you may recall I linked this company up in our FAQ last year. I contacted them and sure enough, though it was a long time ago, 17 years as it turns out, they did make the sign. Not surprisingly, there were no drawings left around, but they agreed to make me a sign if I sent them a drawing.
So, our graphics master Chris whipped up a drawing and I sent it off to them, a short while later I had a quote, and six weeks later a finished sign of my own, which you can see in this article.
But what brings this up is news this week The New Yankee Workshop crew shot a segment at Lincoln Sign a few days ago. Apparently, one of the shows we'll see next season will be about making signs.
The best part about the visit is the new owners of Lincoln Sign Company, J. D. Iles and his wife Vicki, have a blog called Signs Never Sleep, and J. D. is posting photos and information about the shoot there as he gets time.
You can read an informative article on the visit at The Union Leader, a local paper in New Hampshire here.
