David: This week goes to Mike Perozzello of Virginia for building the Lutyens Bench, item #705

This is the Lutyens Bench which I built using The New Yankee Workshop plan. It is made of Cypress as a less expensive, durable alternative to Norm's Teak bench (painted white -- sorry, wife's request). On and off, it took me less than a month of weekends to build and finish in a small shop. I found the design to be well proportioned compared to a number of other bench designs I considered and everyone who has tried the bench loves to sit in it. My only problem: everyone that sits in it wants one - I have unfilled orders for a dozen of them. I'm thinking of hiding it until I catch up. Thanks for the plans, Norm, but especially for the inspiration.
